I haven't seen many admins online this week, and our group has needed admin help on a number of occasions.
Should there be another admin appointed?

The only reason I think admins should be there to catch hackers/cash vouchers and as an added bonus - host event. What kind of admin help did you need exactly? It would be cool to add an admin but to be honest, the burnout of Pz comes much faster when youre God (maybe this is true for the world as well ). Now Im not saying we dont need more admins, we do. But what we need is a way to keep things in check ourselves, sort of like admin deputies. I love this server and the people on it and the admins is what make this possible, the forum looks fancy as fuck and we got a pretty good economy system going. In short; I dont think MORE admins necessarily solves anything. I think we need to device a system where we are able to self regulate with admin supervision. just my 2 (bottlecap)cents

While I agree as well that we could use more admins, one major problem has already been pointed out by Jordos - becoming an admin turns 'play' into 'work', which leads to a faster burnout. We've only fairly recently experienced having two established active players turned into admins only to see them vanish completely.
I'm not sure what the fix is but I do know that experience has taught the team here to approach adding admins with considerable thought and caution which unfortunately takes time.

We've only fairly recently experienced having two established active players turned into admins only to see them vanish completely. I'm not sure what the fix is but I do know that experience has taught the team here to approach adding admins with considerable thought and caution which unfortunately takes time. As much as I like to point out this, not everyone is dedicated to one particular game or even has no life to admin all the time. Much like myself, I love PZ and I find it fun, but I've gotten to the point where most of my involvement is either in game as an Admin or just the forums. Considering my busy schedule it's tough to make the choice to work more after 60 hours of work each week or relax and take a break playing something new or watching new episodes of shows I like. Of course the ladder effect takes place and I end up doing new things or enjoying myself. Of course if anything happens to the server I'm on it as soon as possible and I try to be available when possible to help out players who need it. I spend most of my breaks at work here on the forums reading post and making responses if necessary. As simple as it may be to find a new admin, that person would feel obligated to admin every time they play rather than enjoy the game. Not that admin in itself can't be fun when doing events and stuff, but the responsibility itself becomes more work than fun. Not only that, but the choices we make when choosing admins reflects our image as one bad apple can misrepresent the whole pie. I would love to have more admins, each admin requires training, special permissions, and has to pass our vetting process. We have a process. I'll re-open app if people are interested.

John Titor's Admin qualifications
Pros. Only game I play
Cons. No Admin experience and can't find an IBM 5100 to save humanity.

But...couldn't you just use your knowledge of the future to administrate problems BEFORE they actually become problems?

But...couldn't you just use your knowledge of the future to administrate problems BEFORE they actually become problems? You would think that. But that theory hasn't gotten me any closer to an IBM 5100. So....
