The majority may have spoken, they want a hard wipe. Here's the last chance the community has to avoid the wipe. If the masses really want to go forward with the wipe they will need to pick a day in which I will wipe. This will give people plenty of time to pack mule items and pack up for the impending wipe.
What will the wipe do? Clean the entire world, less lag in general, and bye bye Bedford unless we get it's working properly before wipe.

I'd like to see the massive exploit spawned gun collections wiped - the ones I keep finding in kitchen cabinets, hidden under toilets, behind trees, or just spread out in trails all over the map. On top of that I don't think the erasure of any of the public structures I've had a hand in bothers me. No one is really using them so they are more eye candy than anything right now, and the fact is both of them can be rebuilt within the capabilities of any single player anyway since that's how I did Fort Zippee and the prior version of the Gigafortress (since I finished Gigafortress II after becoming an admin).

Against a hard reset for all the obvious reasons, it wont change anything in the long run, item spawning will continue, cluttering of everything will continue. Since when did a majority vote turn into a yes or no? More than half the people on this server voted no which splits the community. If its necessary Im ok with it but if its not necessary? Why are we going with the majority vote?
Im sorry, its just a touchy subject for me because I dont see any reason why we shouldnt do a hard wipe in january as well, and then maybe in march again since theres gonna be shit everywhere again and ow wait - I really dont like the base I got - lets do a hard wipe. Were only 300$ away from new hardware which will fix the lag issue mostly (or not? I dont know)

I believe it would be good for server as a whole especially with the new spawn rate and upcoming build 33. Not to mention the abundance of everything we all became spoiled on. Now hopefully things will become a bit more interesting.

Now hopefully things will become a bit more interesting. Couple of questions. 1: How does an not released build have anything to do with a hard reset beforehand? 2: How will people not be spoiled after the reset? 3: How will things get more interesting? {Spoiler} You do a hard reset after a build has been released, this makes more sense. Hoarders will save their stuff anyway so the "spoiled" will stay spoiled as you say. Besides that a lot of work has gone into finding and acquiring assets. Things will not get more interesting, they will stay absolutely the same with maybe a little less lagg in the first week(s).
Thanks for answering and speaking out in advance but I would just like to talk about this, this is not a personal attack as you probably represent other peoples opinion as well and at least you take the time to react.

moveable furniture will change a lot... much more interesting bases to look at AND a heightened desire to hoard all the newly spawned goods (as only the wuickest and most frequent players were abundantly spoiled before) in the new build abundance will be a factor and probably result in yet another server setting poll. West point usually ends up as kind of a week-long capture the flag player-hosted event right after a hard wipe, so that'll be interesting to see. I will personally give 500 caps to anyone who walks away with a pool table from Twiggy's. heheh. been spending too much time in the woods there Jordoss, gotta get back into the action and take a trip to west point soon

All Im just saying is I dont understand the point for a hard reset and even find it detrimental to long term progress.

I'd be willing to continue maintaining a community base if there were some noticeable community involvement or something I could see that indicated it was more of a value to the server than just eye candy; it's just that now that I am on my admin instead of acting as a player it seems too artificial to have me keeping up bases. After all I can no longer be killed and I even though I'm using materials that regular players can build with I'm still magically building the stuff now

Well Itd be nice to have the reset as soon as possible.
Dont feel like playing and collecting items knowing a reset is coming

I think this is a common misconception - you dont lose shit when there is a hard reset, you can just create multiple characters and keep all the stuff you collected by having it on that character when the hard reset occurs. Think outside the box

And you can also get your base backed up for a small donation

Itd be nice to have the wipe delete my base so I could work on it again with max carp and really make it toward the image I want.
And I dont really play with Alts, I just build and hoard junk lol
