A warning to all: a significant portion of the zombie populace is invincible in the current IWBUMS. I suspect this occurs more frequently when zeds are spawned off-screen, which is virtually always with the new population system. Your best bet is to avoid confrontations, until we get a lovely hotfix or rollback to 31.

MAN! the ANTECIPATION IS MUCH PALPABLE... I CAN ALREADY PICTURE MYSELF... OHMMMM...mmmmmmmh... OGMGMGM!!! Ehem.. I truly desire to touch some of these sweet new machines, these booms going explosive on BANDITOS, they GIBLET EVERYWHERE.. the radio communications (this is definitely the most antecipated feature I ever wanted in a game, I'm goin to abuse the walkie talkies and the radios), we will have televisions as well, oh MAN! erhem again, HOBBES! can we petition a snow weather for next month?

You could, though a petition like that should be useless. it should be snowing in winter months (IRL Kentucky, i think it snows a lot less than your average full 4 season-cycle place, but I don't know for sure, I'm Canadian. So i don't even notice when it DOES snow)

Funny, some players keep reporting we are stuck in a endless loop between April and June that jumps to november then back to April, never snowing. btw, is erosion enabled? how would the grief policy be handled about bombs? can we have fire spread back on?

fire spread is a pain that I don't think will ever get on (i mean we did JUST get rid of sledges) But don't quote me on that, that's a Zeek call. erosion is enabled: corpses and blood erode with time (not a new feature) and trees/vines grow as well as floor stability decrease if the server has enough time without a reset. Time can be wonky during bugs and crashes and glitch season, so be patient with the date and time, it will be rectified soon. Try and consider the first few days with this build as throw-away days. we aren't really sure what will stay and what will be introduced. All trial and error with so many new cool things. concussive properties should still work, though I must re-iterate: trial and error. we don't know the best way to implement the new build as it's new to us too. keep sending us your thoughts though and we will eventually get to a nice even medium for everyone to enjoy. I didn't notice the walk-talkie system in place yet, but I haven't been on today, so maybe? as far as grief policy for bombs and basically anything else that would be impossible or incredibly time-consuming to mediate: if we allow it in server settings, it should be good to go. (obviously within reason) But the less we have to moderate in game, then the more extra stuff like help and events can happen. Wow. 2 lines to ask all those questions, so many more to answer them all. haha. Who else has questions!?!?! Come at me bruh!

No sledgehammers? I will build carfull and with patience from now on. Or is it possible to destroy palisades with an aye?
Thanks for the fast response regarding the crashes, you all make this an outstanding server. Only the location is a pain in the lower back, maybe I have to switch continents. ;-)

Who else has questions!?!?! Come at me bruh! ^ His profile pictures LOOKS like he's dancing, but really it's an ancient form of martial arts how would the grief policy be handled about bombs? Last night Pot and I discovered that pipe bombs could still wreck invincible zeds, but as I was running around bombing invincizeds, I did see just how much of a menace explosives could prove to be - a single one tossed inside the living room of a prefab house DESTROYED the place - including all the furniture and containers. The potential for griefing is high, but luckily the components to build pipe and aerosol bombs are fairly rare, and if and when we get admin claiming up and running we can hopefully protect the important loot spawns. But this apocalypse could get a whole lot more apocalypsy O.o these booms going explosive on BANDITOS, they GIBLET EVERYWHERE.. The other thing we discovered was that pipe bombs currently seem to do very little damage to players - our victim put it on par with a kitchen knife. Of course, maybe it had something to do with the way I created the bombs... If you run your own tests let us know your results the radio communications (this is definitely the most antecipated feature I ever wanted in a game, I'm goin to abuse the walkie talkies and the radios) I took a short little jaunt through a few of the new files, but haven't ran into anything about the radio equiptment, yet. Or is it possible to destroy palisades with an aye? It's always been possible to destroy walls with axes - it just takes an obnoxiously long time . Hopefully we can find some compromise, as sledgies are incredibly useful in construction O.o

I find it hilarious we removed sledges in the same update that added an item with even more griefing capabilities.
As for the Radio problem, they aren't in the current beta build right now. The explosion damage is definitely on the weak side for players right now, I was standing right beside a running generator Hobbes destroyed and all it did was scratch me (I was not Thick-Skinned, this was a disposable alt. Hell it might have even had Thin-Skinned). The damage also seems somewhat randomized, Rich blew up the first floor of the Knox Bank with a pipe bomb on the second floor, while the second floor was relatively undamaged.

I was there when Aniketos blew a pipe bomb inside. The damage to the building was insane. Everything turned to ash. But the rooms that were behind doors at the time stayed just fine. The doors where gone but everything in the rooms was ok. Very cool and I see potential for the being useful and for grief. Imagine one on the gun store, no more fun store after that...
